We all have our differences in this world. No man is an island and no man is similar to the other. The differences we hold make us unique and that uniqueness is our advantageous edge compared to our counterparts. I remember a story I was told by my uncle when he attended a job interview he was asked tell why we should hire him instead of his classmates and what he responded got him the job in one of the leading companies in its industry. his answer was simply his competitive edge over his mates.

I now respect learning. What I have seen over the years is that things do change, the environment is always changing its sort of evolving. 1. It’s due to the innovations being introduced time and again. Innovations push the set boundaries almost daily. For example the technological innovations in all respective spheres that is mobile phones, the internet, aerospace and even energy. Here we have the likes of brands such as Apple and Samsung, NASA and SpaceX, and then Tesla 2. It’s due to adopting the various changes around us. It forces us to adopt a new way of doing things. Examples here include the societal change following the technological changes we evolved from an industrial age to the information age and the changes we all embraced following the Covid 19 Pandemic. This shows that learning is the most crucial thing we can do so as to remain relevant in this world. The one who masters learning can conquer the world.

👩🏼‍💻 Tech-savvy – Simplify life processes and tasks to increase productivity

The world challenges each and one of us daily. We are as good as our systems and the tools we use to tackle these challenges. If there is one thing that has changed over the past century, it is the ease of trade between nations. Trade has always been around but over the past half-century, we have found ways to make it more easy as we began to chase larger profits. What this then means is that even when we practice our different trades we are no longer competing with the guy down the street but rather with every guy in the different countries out there. The only way to rank first on that huge list is by embracing technology and using it to increase the productivity and the quality of what we offer. The one guy willing to use technology will be crowned king by the clients.

🖇 Networking – opportunities hide in networks

Networking is not to be taken for granted in this day and age. It’s one of the things I know will accelerate success if used wisely. Take for instance the story of how the founder of Econet Wireless, Dr Strive Masiiwa got involved in the race to get the African Continent on a clear path of a vaccination program following the outbreak of Corona Virus in 2019. One of the African leaders asked Dr Strive to lead the operation of securing vaccines then Dr Strive got successful with the help also of his network. Now Look at the power of networking to save the continent from a disease. In our different trade areas, we are at the mercy of our networks, doors open to those that have a good network and use it wisely.
