Who doesn’t love a good holiday with family or friends, to a beautiful destination somewhere relaxing? Even though that’s the case let’s face it planning a holiday can be quite challenging for most of us and a lot might happen that may stress us. Imagine having your holiday getting spoiled by something you might have avoided yet realising it when it’s already too late. Here are some tips that might help you have a memorable time.

📖 Do your research

Out of all the places out there when you pick a holiday destination one important thing you need to keep in mind is that no two destinations are the same. even if they are located in the same country, province or town. This gives you a good reason to read and research your chosen destination. Unless you are going with someone who has been there or it’s a surprise trip from a lover maybe, but to have a good time and stress-free holiday here are some of the things you need to know prior. Study a bit about areas of interest of that destination, the culture of the people, their history etc. Then from there pick your travel options and study possible travel routes keeping in mind the malls, shopping centres and your place of residents – your hotel, motel, lodge or BnB whichever you choose. You don’t want any surprises that will make you confused on your holiday.

💰 Budget for your whole holiday

You have done your research, you have a rough idea of what your holiday looks like, you now need to plan the financial side of it. Honestly, there is nothing boring and disappointing as to have loved doing something on your holiday and then failing because your funds aren’t permitting it. Save money for all your cool activities, trip fees, fuel, food and everything else you might need. Try as much as possible to factor in all the possible costs. The most important thing here that needs emphasis is to always have extra cash for emergencies and other unforeseen costs that you may incur during your holiday. We are all not millionaires and billionaires most of our holidays have to follow a strict budget or else we risk overspending that we won have some money left for our daily life between when the holiday ends and our pay day.

🛒 Shop ahead… if necessary

As always there is no destination similar to another, you may be used to your town or city where you know where to get the best deals and stuff. Well, tables turn when you are in a different town city or province. So, for those things that are fancy and crucial for your holiday, try to get them in your town only if they are not difficult to travel with. You might be shocked that the town you go to might fail to offer you the basics of things especially if you are coming from a big city. Don’t forget to take into account your travelling when you shop ahead. Usually, plane travel gets more expensive with the weight of your luggage. if you are going by road, take into account also the size of your vehicle and bags. Your other best option is to do your shopping in a town nearer to your holiday that’s shopping along the way.

👌 Do the preparatory work-book travel tickets, and hotels, clear your desk of urgent tasks

Having your plane tickets and hotel accommodation booked well in time is always good. if your chosen destination gets many visitors chances are most services would be booked towards a certain date. the best rooms and travel options will be full if you delay so don’t wait for the last week towards your holiday date. Also, get your house in order before you depart for the holiday. remember the goal is to relax and have a good time, therefore you have to get rid of all possible stress sources. How can you relax when you know you know you have long overdue work at your desk? Just clear it up before you go so that you have a good time.

🎉 Relax, enjoy and have fun

Yes, we all have our default mode, we have our different characters. when you go on a holiday leave formalities be as happy as you can be as long as it doesn’t affect the next person. Holiday entertainment is not drawn from external forces, it’s an internal thing you alone can make yourself enjoy the moment. That is why I recommend that you relax, enjoy and have fun as you define it on your terms.

Take care on your next holiday, be blessed, enjoy your quality time, and share some cool places you would recommend others to visit.
